Special Double Post: New November/Dam it My Glasses are Broken Again December

“The chief enemy of creativity is good sense.”
― Pablo Picasso

I cannot speak well enough to be unintelligible.
― Jane Austen

Success supposes endeavor.

I work like a bee and feel that I accomplish little.

What I'm Doing

I've been doing a lot. Most of it is, as usual, prep work but I've gotten a new camera (Instax Mini8) and a new lens (fixed length 50mm), both gifts, and I've been playing around with those. I've also started research into doing the mixed media works I plan to start int the coming year. It's going to be good, trust me ;)
I've also finished work on my first curation. I co-curated an exhibit with three of my colleagues and Professor Ruth Ann? Phillips to produce an exhibit, named Changing Tides which explores the history of my campus through photos and artifacts. I did web design, some photography, selected museum texts and co curated. If you want to see the exhibit it's at http://smcmchangingtides.weebly.com/  If you have any questions on the exhibit, feel free to contact me at enrader.dc@gmail.com.

These images are works in progress for the Abstracts. I hope to do Signs work that will be displayed alongside but we'll see about that.

I don't have any images of this but I've gotten the supplies to make the canvas for the Lilac Painting. These supplies consist of the tools to stretch canvas, unprimed canvas cloth and 25" stretcher bars.

More work on the Johns and Others... photograph. I'm thinking about doing a series of referential works, though it may end up just being a few photographs with the name "____ and Others" there's a couple other images I've done but they're film so I'm waiting on getting access to a different scanner.

Exploring compositions for future works for the Abstracts series, which you can't see yet. :P
